{"id":1424,"date":"2017-07-12T11:58:57","date_gmt":"2017-07-12T15:58:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.horizon-research.com\/ASSET\/?page_id=1424"},"modified":"2025-10-29T16:27:40","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T20:27:40","slug":"administration-instructions-for-student-task-time-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.horizon-research.com\/ASSET\/administration-instructions-for-student-task-time-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Administration Instructions for Student Task Time 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> <strong>Each task document is two-sided.\u00a0 On one side is the Time 1 task, and on the reverse side is the Time 2 task.\u00a0 Please follow the steps below carefully.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>At the time specified in the DQP, distribute the task sheets (from the red envelope) according to the names written on the labels.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><em>If a student is present for Time 2 who was not present for Time 1,<\/em> have the student complete the Time 2 task using an extra unused sheet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em>If a student is not present for Time 2 who completed the Time 1 task: <\/em>You may either (1) Have the student complete the task when s\/he returns to the classroom, or (2) Remove the name label and set aside their uncompleted task; do not allow a different student to use the task originally designated for the absent student.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Please have students work on the task individually. They may refer to their work from Time 1 if they so choose, but do not allow them to change their Time 1 responses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>After students have completed the Time 2 tasks, <strong>the name labels should be removed and discarded. <\/strong>The top part of the label should peel away easily, leaving a shiny backing.\u00a0 You may either: (1) Instruct the students to remove the name label themselves before you collect them; or (2) Have the students hand in the assessments and remove the labels yourself.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Collect the task sheets and review students\u2019 work on the Time 2 task in order to see how their thinking has changed.
