Fostering Mathematics Success of English Language Learners

Horizon Research, Inc. is partnering with Education Development Center to conduct an efficacy study of the Fostering Geometrical Thinking Toolkit (FGTT), a professional development program for middle grades and high school mathematics teachers. The multi-site, national study, funded by the National Science Foundation, addresses the effects of FGTT on: (1) teachers' knowledge, (2) teachers' practice in mathematics classes serving English language learning students, and (3) students' problem solving strategies.
