High School Longitudinal Study of 2009
Research Triangle Institute International
Funded by the US Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics, this national longitudinal study will follow a cohort of students beginning as they enter 9th grade to better understand how their plans, background, and circumstances when they begin high school are linked to their decisions about course-taking and to their plans and experiences following high school. The study will emphasize science and mathematics achievement, course taking, and post-secondary decisions. RTI International is conducting the study. As a subcontractor, HRI is designing questionnaires for science and mathematics teachers as well as school guidance counselors.
