AIM: K-8 Science is creating instruments and conducting research to better understand how different approaches to professional development affect teacher content knowledge, classroom practice, and student learning. The study has two components:
- Examining the relationship between professional development and teacher content knowledge.
- Examining the relationships among teacher content knowledge, beliefs, classroom practice, and student achievement.
Participating projects can choose to participate in either or both components for one or more content areas. AIM is providing participating projects with instruments, data, and technical assistance.
