Courtney L. Nelson, Research Associate, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to coming to HRI in 2009, she taught at the elementary level, and worked as a Geosciences editor for a major textbook publisher.

Currently, Ms. Nelson coordinates project communications for a longitudinal study on the impact of the Connected Mathematics curriculum on student achievement. She also works on the evaluation of Learning and Teaching Geometry and assists in instrument development and data collection for the Fostering Mathematics Success for English Language Learners research project.
