Sherri L. Fulp
Sherri L. Fulp, Research Associate at Horizon Research, Inc. (HRI), received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY and a Master's Degree in Science Education from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY.
Prior to coming to HRI in 2001, she taught High School Biology, Earth Science, Zoology, and Environmental Science, as well as Seventh Grade Science. Ms. Fulp has assisted in the evaluation of AAPT's Rural Physics Teaching Resource Agents project, NSTA's e-Mentoring for Student Success project, and the National Science Foundation's Local Systemic Change through Teacher Enhancement Initiative. She has also worked on the evaluation of the National Teacher Enhancement Network for Elementary Teachers, and has reviewed materials for HRI's Increasing the Availability of Materials for the Professional Development of Science and Mathematics Teachers (TE-MAT).
Currently, Ms. Fulp works on the evaluation of the Consortium for Achievement in Mathematics and Science, a collaboration between the Merck Institute for Science Education, Kean University, Educational Testing Service, and four New Jersey school districts. She also assists in the evaluation of Pennsylvania's Science: It's Elementary initiative, aimed at improving elementary school science instruction throughout the state. In addition, Ms. Fulp is involved with the evaluation of the New Science Teacher Academy and the Video Cases for Science Teaching Analysis project, two NSF-funded programs.
